After having completed his apprenticeship in banking at Deutsche Bank AG, Hamburg, Dr. Heiner Arnoldi went on to study business administration at the University of Hamburg as a scholar of Stifterverband für die deutsche Wissenschaft (Donors’ Association for the Promotion of Humanities and Science). He graduated in 1990 (degree: “Diplom-Kaufmann”). He joined the Corporate Finance department of Deutsche Bank at Frankfurt and completed his doctoral thesis at the University of Frankfurt.
Between 1993 and 1995, Dr. Arnoldi worked as assistant to the Management Board and later on as a director in the Global Corporate Finance department of Deutsche Bank, Frankfurt. In 2004, he joined WestLB, Düsseldorf, as Head of the M&A division, and one year later, he was also appointed divisional director of the Corporate Investments division.
In 2007, he became a managing director at Sal. Oppenheim, where he ran the Real Estate In-vestment Banking and Investment Banking & Special Projects divisions. In April 2012, he took responsibility for the Legacy department, and in April 2013, he was appointed to the extend-ed executive board of Sal. Oppenheim. In March 2017, he joined the executive board of Sal. Oppenheim.
