How Web Tracking works

We use the data collected on our website to create user profiles under a pseudonym. These pseudonymous user profiles do not allow for any conclusions about your person. Without your explicit consent, such tracking data will not be merged with your personal data.

In order to adapt our website to your interests and needs and for the purpose of market research, we evaluate data that is generated when you visit our website. For this purpose, we use the services of Webtrekk GmbH (Berlin). On our behalf, Webtrekk collects anonymous data on the surfing and clicking behaviour of our website visitors. For this purpose, Webtrekk uses a session cookie through your browser on our behalf. This cookie is set each time you visit our website and expires when you leave the website.

Furthermore, Webtrekk sets a temporary cookie, which enables us to identify you pseudonymised by the cookie ID as a returning visitor to our website. The temporary cookies expire six months after your last website visit.

How can I unsubscribe from pseudonymous web tracking?

The technologies used on our website by Webtrekk GmbH are certified by TÜV Saarland in the area of data protection and data security. Visitors of our website always have the possibility to deactivate the pseudonymised web tracking. Simply click on "Analytics Opt-out". This causes a cookie to be stored on your computer that prevents Webtrekk from collecting pseudonymised data on our website.

How do we collect data and how long is it stored?
