Stefan Freytag studied business administration at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität, Munich, and started his career as a finance assistant at Bayerische Rückversicherung AG in 1985. Dur-ing the following years, he held various positions within the company, for example as securi-ties advisor, head of the investment team and Head of Finance. He then joined Swiss Life Germany as Head of the Securities team. Later on, he was appointed managing director of Swiss Life Asset Management KAG mbH, a subsidiary of Swiss Life Germany, and subse-quently, Chief Investment Officer of Swiss Life Germany.
In 2006, Mr Freytag joined the executive board of Wilhelm von Finck AG, and in 2011, he was appointed a member of the executive board of Wilhelm von Finck Deutsche Family Office AG.
He has been a member of the executive board of Deutsche Oppenheim Family Office AG since 2013 and was appointed Chairman of the Board in January 2020.
He is responsible for family office and investment consulting.
